Jochen Rindt Memorial Trophy for Formula 2

Run over two 28 lap heats and a 50 lap final saw a convincing victory for Graham Hill in a Rondel Racing Brabham BT36, taking first place in both Heat 1 and the final.

Brian Muir in the Wiggins Teape sponsored Chevrolet Camaro was the runaway winner.
Close racing for second place between Martin Thomas in the Chevrolet Camaro (#6) and the Ford Mustang Boss 302 of Dennis Leech.
Was resolved in favour of Thomas for second spot ahead of Leech in third at the flag.
Melvyn Adams' Hillman Imp finished but was not classified. A similar Imp driven by Bill McGovern won the 1971 Championship, but DNF here due to driveshaft doughnut failure.
Juhani Kynsilehto's Imp also DNF'd after losing a rear wheel. Another doughnut failure?
